Course Description:

In this course, students will immerse themselves in thought-provoking texts that tackle pressing contemporary issues. Through close reading and meticulous analysis of a wide array of materials, including articles, essays, speeches, and opinion pieces, students will foster the growth of their critical thinking abilities. This exploration will broaden their perspectives and deepen their comprehension of complex topics such as climate change, social justice, technology's influence, and global politics. Throughout the process, students will cultivate skills in identifying authorial arguments, evaluating supporting evidence, and examining the implications of these issues in our present-day world.
