I had the pleasure of studying Japanese with Ryoko Marumo, CEO of Toranomon Language School, for a little over a year. I came in with no prior knowledge of the language and was able to learn enough to survive in Japan. Marumo-sensei is an excellent teacher who is patient, knowledgeable, and passionate about teaching Japanese. She is able to explain complex Japanese grammar concepts in English in a way that is easy to understand and provides plenty of opportunities for practice.
