What is the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)?
The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) evaluates the Japanese language skills of non-native speakers, with applications in work, university, and daily life. Divided into five levels (N5 to N1), the test covers four key sections:
- Characters and Vocabulary: Focus on how words are used together and group related terms to efficiently expand your vocabulary.

Our JLPT N5 course helps you build a strong foundation in Japanese by learning and applying essential kanji, vocabulary, and grammar through clear explanations and practical exercises. You’ll strengthen reading comprehension with Japanese-specific strategies, improve listening skills by exploring cultural context, and develop accurate pronunciation through guided practice, enabling you to confidently understand and use basic Japanese.
JLPT N4
Course length: 3 months
Dates: Wednesdays & Fridays, 10:00-12:00 PM
Our JLPT N4 course is designed to deepen your understanding of basic Japanese, focusing on familiar daily topics. You’ll enhance your reading skills by engaging with passages that utilize fundamental vocabulary and kanji. In addition, the course emphasizes listening comprehension, enabling you to follow everyday conversations spoken at a slower pace. This level serves as a bridge between the introductory N5 and the more intermediate N3, solidifying your foundation in the language.
JLPT N3
Course length: 3 months
Dates: Wednesdays & Fridays, 2:00-4:00 PM
Our JLPT N3 course focuses on mastering intermediate grammar, including causative, passive, and conditional forms, while building confidence in reading and analyzing intermediate-length texts like explanations and advice. You’ll expand your kanji and vocabulary for understanding workplace notices and articles, and enhance your listening and speaking skills to handle nuanced conversations in everyday and moderately complex situations.
JLPT N2
Course length: 3 months
Dates: Wednesdays & Fridays, 2:00 PM-4:00 PM
Our JLPT N2 course is designed to enhance your proficiency in understanding Japanese used in everyday situations and various contexts. You’ll develop the ability to read clear materials on diverse topics, such as newspaper and magazine articles, and comprehend their content and intent. The course also focuses on improving your listening skills, enabling you to understand coherent conversations and news reports spoken at nearly natural speed, and grasp the relationships among the people involved and the essential points of the presented materials.
