Here at Toranomon we get out of the traditional classroom setting and immerse our students in real world experiences and Japanese culture where they can apply their learnings. Today, the students were taken on a field trip to the Minato Science Museum and later on to the 7-11 convenience store.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Minato Science Museum is run by the Japan Meteorological Agency. Currently, it is the rainy season in Japan and this museum offers exhibits that allow the kids to learn and understand where rain comes from and how it is formed.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

At the museum the kids played with interactive exhibits where they read and followed Japanese directions. The Planetarium, a dome-shaped hall, with a realistic view of the starry sky was a big hit. Each of these exhibits sharpened the kid\u2019s Japanese skills by reading and listening to the language.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

After the museum, the kids headed to the 7-11 convenience store which provided more opportunity for them to practice their Japanese language skills. The kids interacted with the cashier which helps boost language and social skills. These out of the classroom experiences allow the kids to fully engage with the Japanese culture around them.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Summer Courses <\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/div><\/div>

\u00a0<\/a>Through summer courses our \u201cwalk and learns\u201d are held every Friday from June 17th to September 6th. Classes are also offered Monday through Thursday where the kids participate in traditional classroom activities where they listen and engage with the Japanese language. The course starts with a consultation to personalize each student\u2019s experience and guarantee that the child will gain an excellent foundation in Japanese.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Parents are allowed to join in on our exciting \u201cwalk and learn\u201d as well by purchasing a \u201chalf day crash course\u201d<\/a> available on our website from \u00a510,000.
